Richard Bader, PT - CLINICAL DIRECTOR
Rick graduated with honors from The State University of New York at Stony Brook, and received his Physical Therapy degree from Hunter College in NYC. In 1992, Rick teamed up with the Joyner Sports Medicine Institute to begin his career. Upon moving to Western Maine, Rick served on the staff of Stephens Memorial Hospital until starting his first clinic in South Paris in January 2000. Over the past seven years he has opened three Physical Therapy clinics in the rural communities of Western Maine, to provide our community with the best quality of Physical Therapy available. In this time he has helped to introduce a variety of manual therapies to many residents of this area, including CranioSacral Therapy, Myofascial Release, Zero Balancing, Mechanical Link and PNF Stretching. He especially enjoys working with athletic and work-related injuries, as well as TMJ and other musculoskeletal problems. Rick’s outside interests involve nature photography, hiking, kayaking and a love-hate relationship with golf.

Paul Fecteau, PT, SCS, ATC - SPORTS MEDICINE
Paul is a graduate of University of New England, class of 1996. In 2005, Paul became a Sports Clinical Specialist and is one of only two Physical Therapists/Sports Clinical Specialists in the state of Maine. Although his background is in sports medicine, Paul enjoys treating acute injuries of all kinds, whether they are from athletics, accidents or work-related injuries. Paul has worked as a Certified Athletic Trainer at South Portland High School and has been doing per diem events at high schools through-out the region, as well as soccer tournaments, basketball camps, and free athletic screening at Bader Physical Therapy. He has also worked with the Portland Junior Pirates hockey team in Biddeford, Maine. Paul comes to Bader Physical Therapy as Director of our Sports Medicine Program from the University of New England where he treated patients in the outpatient PT clinic and assisted with teaching the musculoskeletal course for the Physical Therapy Curriculum. He is also in charge of our educational outreach program.

Tim Beagan, PTA, ATC-L SPORTS MEDICINE
Tim is a 1988 graduate of Becker College in Worcester, where he attained an Associates Degree in physical therapy. In 2002 Tim completed his BS in Sports Medicine/Health Fitness at USM. He has 20 years experience as a physical therapist assistant, practicing primarily in outpatient orthopaedic and sports PT. Tim became NATA certified in athletic training in 2004. Tim played an integral role in developing pre and post-operative protocols for a large orthopaedic practice. A former competitive swimmer, Tim has developed protocols and interest in treating these athletes. He has experience in aquatic therapy, treating work injuries and spent 2 years working at a facility that specialized in integrated manual therapy. Tim also spent a year on staff at New England Baptist Hospital in Boston, working in their orthopaedic PT department. Tim has been involved in developing athletic training programs for several high schools and club teams and has experience managing a sports medicine program for a physical therapy clinic which included a variety of contracts. Currently he acts as the athletic trainer for Lake Region high school and Poland high school, The Maine Freeze, and Southern Maine Raging Bulls.

We are proud to announce the addition of Mallory Wilson to our staff as of May 19th, 2008
Mallory Wilson completes her BS in Athletic Training from the University of New England in May 2008. She enjoys every aspect of the Athletic Training profession, especially the opportunity to work with a diverse population of patients. As an Athletic Training Student, she has worked with many High School athletes, Division III Collegiate athletes, and Physical Therapists in the Southern Maine area. Mallory also enjoys working at football and field hockey camps during the summer. Mallory is a former three-sport athlete and an avid hockey fan. Mallory is excited to join this team of skilled Physical Therapy and Sports Medicine professionals.
